FYP
A 2 day workshop for primary schoolers from WSC that focuses on music and soundscape. Get them to learn more about music and recording sound with a deeper understanding. To help them get inspired and appreciate music more.
First day, we teach the children about the basics of music which includes rythm, pitch and melody. We also get them to make instruments using recycled materials, like the shakers, castanets, kalimbas and drums, to play along with the songs to create a final performance.
Second day, we get the children to go around the school to record sounds using professional audio equipment based on their given scenarios (Kopitiam, library and Park). They will also get a chance to record sound effects using the props in the foley studio. We will then teach them how to use Bandlab to assemble their sounds to make a soundcape.
After all groups present their soundscape to everyone. Me and my friends did our own soundscape for all 3 scenarios. Then we showed them our versions to help them improve on their piece.
